DJ Mark Norman combines forces with Miley Cyrus’ sideman Mike Schmid.


Award winning Dutch DJ/Producer Mark Norman has for his new single 'Locked inside' collaborated with Mike Schmid. Mike is the permanent keyboardist for Miley Cyrus and as a singer/songwriter; he recently won the famous USA Songwriting Competition. Mark Norman, discovered by DJ Tiesto, has been around for years in the international EDM scene.

Big room power

For this special collaboration Mark Norman and Mike Schmid stayed true to their own sound and have given an energetic spin to their single. The Dutch DJ is known for his energetic big room sound. Schmid's characteristic is that he combines his unique voice with sincere passion. Black Hole Recordings, the record company of DJ Mark Norman, has brought these two musicians in contact with each other.

Mike Schmid winner USA Songwriting Award

Mike Schmid (33) has successfully completed the famous Berklee music college. Recently, he won the USA Songwriting Award and as permanent keyboardist for Miley Cyrus he has toured for years with her around the world. In addition he is on the road as a solo artist. Meanwhile he has six solo albums to his credit and his music is also used for various popular TV series like CSI Miami and Jersey Shore. The USA Songwriting Awards is an annual recurring contest where songwriters from around the world submit their songs. That this is an important contest is shown by the fact that the previous winners by now have several Billboard hits to their credit.

Los Angeles - The Hague

Locked Inside comes out on Black Hole Recordings and is now available via iTunes. The single comes along with a video clip filmed partly in Los Angeles and The Hague. The video is produced by Hoying Media. The video is viewable at www.mark-norman.com.
